This play, written in the 1890s is a classic English comedy, with many farcical elements.

Two Oxford students await the arrival of one of their aunts to act as a chaperone for their courtship of two beautiful young ladies.  When the aunt`s arrival is delayed, the students persuade their friend, Babbs, to impersonate her.

In his somewhat reluctant disguise as Charley`s Aunt, Babbs enjoys the attentions of the two young girls, but is rather less fond of the ensuing attentions of two amorous middle aged men of Oxford!

When the real aunt arrives, the chaos of mistaken identity intensifies, and hilarious situations inevitably arise...but all`s well that ends well!
