England’s green and pleasant land is facing a crisis.

In order to afford an invasion of France, King John is taxing his loyal subjects way beyond their means. He is assisted by the Sheriff of Nottingham who has also kidnapped Ellen Deirwold and is forcing her into wedlock. Things are looking bleak, England’s only hope is the small band of rebels led by Robin Hood who finds himself a hero only by chance and helped by a wise-cracking, superior swords-person, Maid Marian Harper.

Will they save Ellen in time? Will King John and the Sheriff of Nottingham be defeated? Will Marian and Robin ever get along?

All these questions will be answered on December 11-13^th at the Dolman theatre Kingsway Newport as the Dolman Youth theatre presents Robin Hood by Larry Blamire, a hysterical, sprawling, action packed drama that both retells and reinvents the myth.
